Introduction
As stated in this other Blog article, the Silent Partner was patented in 1989 and produced in 1990. If there were 100 produced every year (as stated in this Climbing article) until it was discontinued in 2008, 1900 exist in the world, take away the broken and lost ones… Quite a bit!

The Wren Industries’ web page “http://www.wrenindustries.com/silentpart_home.html” was up from October 12th 2000 to May 9th 2008 when studying the web archive .
When trying to get access to “http://www.wrenindustries.com” today, we end up on SG Aerospace and Gas. What I remember is that the company was bought by the US Army and discontinued the Silent Partner along with the Soloist and Solo Aid. A pitty for the world of climbers!
Through the years, I made some averages of the prices SPs sold on Ebay and it goes like this: 2018: ~510 US$, 2022: ~1250 US$, 2024: ~1100 US$. Here are the highest prices I recorded:

On average 1 gets sold every 8 days on ebay.
For comparision, the Soloist gets sold around 190$ as of 2024 and 1 is sold every 11 days on ebay.
Will any of these devices be put on production again in the future? Or a new device for soloists? Note that the Mudo is produced by Manuel Larios and can be bought here. The Mudo gets some users but seem not to get as many adopters as the Silent Partner did. Also today people typically use (forbiden by the makers, but still) the Grigris, the Pinch, the Revo, the Eddy, the LOV2 or LOV3, the Trango Vergo…
